This was originally just a draft for me to help me keep track of what gear I have, and what upgrades are immediately available to me (so I know when to sub in for a fight, and when to save my DKP, etc.). I couldn’t think of a reason not to make it public, as other Feral Druids out there in a similar position as me may be curious. So without further ado, let’s get right into it, =P
All calculations for mitigation/survival (and overall) points were done using Rawr b11. Additionally, all upgrades listed are immediate upgrades that are available for me. Distant upgrades are not listed. My guild is currently 5/6 SSC and 2/4 TK (VR/HAS), so upgrades through Vashj (we are SO close to downing her that I’m going to count it) are included.

Hey Heard, thanks for your feedback! I was actually halfway through finishing the follow up for this and decided to take it to the next level, and show full gear sets for different levels of raiding (as well as what items to aim for / bid on). Levels include Pre-Kara, Kara, pre-25mans, etc.

Whats your thoughts on Relic for DPS, I’m still using Idol of the wild. I looked at the Idol of Terror but I’m saving my badges and I’m not sure how often the 65 agility proc’s and if it is much of an upgrade. I like the Idol you get from the epic flight quest but the money is not there yet to start it.

Idol of Terror is the best tanking relic you can get yourself. Additionally, it performs fantastically as a DPS relic. The agility has an 85% chance to proc, which is downright amazing. When tanking, expect it to be up almost all the time. While DPSing, it’ll be up on almost every mangle refresh. It’s what I’m using right now and I highly recommend it.
If you have extra badges to throw around (which you stated you don’t, but I figured I’d mention it), there is one relic that is better for outright DPS (but will be useless for tanking), and that’s the Everbloom Idol. It increases shred damage by 88, and if you do the math, it will give you more raw DPS than the Idol of Terror. This one is sold by the badge vendor as well.
Both of these easily beat the idol you get as a reward from the swift flight form quest (Idol of the Raven Goddess), which only adds 20 critical strike rating (~0.41% chance to crit).
The Idol of the Wild should last you until you get one of the two relics, so feel free to use it without guilt if you’re low on badges, =)
