iArmory 0.7a Released! (June 18th, 2008 // 3:34pm)

I’m proud to announce the release of iArmory 0.7a. With this version comes many commonly requested features, such as full item stats and a webclip icon! Additionally, I’ve added another 100 testers to the testing group, increasing the total tester count to 500. If you applied for testing, please check your e-mail inbox.

If you want to request a new feature, or have an idea for something that should be added or changed, or found a bug and want to report it, as of version 0.7a, I’m going to request that you all use Mantis. Mantis is a bug tracking tool that I’m going to be using from now onwards to keep track of all changes to iArmory. This has a few benefits.

  1. You can see what’s coming soon to iArmory by checking Mantis for fixed or resolved issues. You now know what to expect with each new release.
  2. You can view issues and ideas posted by other testers, and comment on them to voice your opinion, or provide additional information.
  3. You now have an easy way to keep track of how things are changing. If you find an issue or suggestion that interests you, you can click on [Monitor Issue] and you will be sent e-mail updates whenever a change is made (a comment is posted, or the issue has been fixed/resolved).
  4. You can now make sure that all your bug reports and feature requests get straight to me! Most of what is in iArmory now is in there thanks to testers such as yourself, and communicating with me is the best way to get what you want into iArmory. I’ve already gotten some fantastic ideas from other testers that are going to be added in future versions. To give you an example, I originally wasn’t planning on adding item stats, but since so many people expressed an interest in it, they were added in 0.6a! Similarly, full item enchants and gem information was added in 0.7a, as many of you voiced your opinion and let me know that’s what you wanted to see!

To access Mantis, simply go to http://www.array0.com/mantis/ on your home computer, and make an account. Then just click on the link in the e-mail it sends you, fill out your full name and set a password, and you’re all set to go! It’s a painless procedure, and shouldn’t take you more than a minute or two to do. Now you can login to Mantis and report a new issue, request another feature, start monitoring issues reported by others, or leaving comments on existing issues! I do greatly appreciate any input you have to provide.
