~ About ~

Hi! =)
Welcome to Array[0]. I’m Elad Shahar, and Array[0] is my personal website, blog, and portfolio. I’m currently 18 years old, and am majoring in Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. I’m a freelance web developer, and have been designing professional web sites for clients since early 2003. I also like to assist game developers by beta testing their content, and have tested materials for companies such as EA?, Joost?, and Cerulean Studios. I currently hold a job as a Software Engineer Intern for Zeemote?.
You’re currently viewing the WoW section of my website, which means you’re probably interested in me as a WoW player. I play on the Horde side on the Aerie Peak realm. I’m an avid theorycrafter, and also enjoy developing WoW add-ons in my free time. I’m also addicted to add-ons, and average 200+ at any one time, even though I clean my add-ons out every few weeks.
I started playing WoW in June of ‘07, and started with a Troll Mage (at the recommendation of a friend), and found the frost spec to my liking. I got him to 70 in about a month (AoE grinding ftw), and specced him as a raid frostie (10/0/51). I farmed for my full Frozen Shadoweave set, and the full Spellstrike set. I studied the game’s mechanics intently (probably why I love theorycrafting so much now), and was one of the few who realized the importance of spell hit. Using my knowledge, I was able to top DPS charts during most raids, despite my frost spec. However, I grew bored of playing a mage and became addicted to alts before quitting WoW in August.
The next January, however, I decided to start playing again, when my group of friends all started playing as well. One of my alts was a Druid named Qz (two letter names are where it’s at), and I found that I had an absolute blast playing him and leveling him up, unlike my mage which I found tedious and more chore-like. I then decided to retire my mage completely, and switch my main to my druid, whom I absolutely loved. I have since realized that the druid class is the one that fits me and my playstyle the best. I also started reading WoW blogs around the time I returned to WoW, and found myself pulled to the Druid community, which seemed kind, helpful, and really just the type of community that I want to be part of.
I hope to use this blog as a way to connect to other WoW players, and hope to be able to help people with useful tutorials and guides. Most importantly, I hope to join the great community of WoW bloggers that exists, and learn from the combined knowledge pool of all.
